DESCRIPTION 

Polyurethane modified silicone microsphere TP308U can be added into paint and inks to provide a smooth, soft and suede touch with good wear and scratch resistance properties. For water-based system, we offer pre-dispersed product TP308U-40 which is much easier to use. With the same diameter – 8.0μm and all modified by PU, TP308U is softer than TP508U and TP908U but with better anti-scratch property.

COMPOSITION 

 • Polyurethane modified silicone elastomer PACKAGE Typical packaging is 10kg carton, lined with a plastic bag. Samples are packaged in 100g plastic bag. 

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS 

 • Wear eye protection, protective gloves and mask always when working with this product. 

 • Always maintain adequate ventilation in the work area. 

STORAGE 

When stored below 35°C (122°F), TP308U series products has a shelf life of 12 months from manufacture. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.

APPLICATION 

 • Added into paints and inks to provide a smooth, soft and suede touch. 

 • Added into TPU, TPE and TPV to offer a smooth suede touch. 

HOW TO USE 

 • Dosage: depending on different requirements for touch, surface gloss, etc., the dosage of TP308U in paints and inks is 1.0 – 10.0%. 

 • Dispersion disc can facilitate the dispersion of TP308U in the formulation, but ultrasonic dispersion is much more effective.
